Mapping medical education in India

Use this visualization to see the medical colleges in India established over time.

The first one to be established was the Madras Medical College, in 1835. My home town has two medical colleges: one Government Medical College (GMC) and a trust-owned Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MIMSR). I did not know that MIMSR (1990) was older than GMC (2002). The oldest in Marathwada was the Aurangabad GMC (1956).

The next data I want to visualize is the number of people employed and studying at these colleges.
